How is love like a Big Mac? Well, John Fleming answered that question when his daughter, Stephanie, married Mike Montessi. The back story is that John was trying to relate to his daughter when she was a teenager about breaking up with a boyfriend. That’s where the Bic Mac story started and the wedding day is where it ends. Most of John’s speech ended up in the first 10 minutes of the feature film, but the punchline came in the final minutes of the cinematic wedding film. Therefore, this blog post has two clips – the first 10 minutes of a wedding film, and a clip that helped close out the film.

What can I stay about Stephanie and Mike? Simply put, I love them! They are the ideal JPod Productions couple as they came with California style back to their hometown of Agawam, Massachusetts. This is the longest clip we have posted on our blog from one wedding film. It takes you from the Bellucci Salon & Day Spa to the Springfield Sheraton, and continues on to Stephanie’s parents’ house for the final bridal preparations before finishing with the processional of the ceremony. The feature film wedding clip really shows how the personalities of the couple and their families are captured within the final feature film.

Stephanie and Mike, who now call Los Angeles home, were married at Hope Community Church with the reception at nearby Oak Ridge Golf Club. We teamed with Schaler Photography for the second time this wedding season and CJC Event Lighting did a wonderful job uplighting the reception venue. I also must thank Stephanie, as she was one of our top cheerleaders in the recent Best Videographer of Boston contest that we just participated in. The Wedding Industry Experts released the results of their 2012 Best Wedding Videographer contest last Friday and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. JPod Productions was honored as one of the top 10 wedding videographers Worldwide, as well as finishing in the top 5 for best videographers in the United States (U.S.).  So what started as a competition to be the Best Videographer in Boston, turned in much bigger results.

After over 600 votes towards our Best Videographer in Boston contest, we must thank several of our dedicated brides whom pushed for our company on facebook and through emails. We were completely humbled by the outpouring of support that our former brides gave JPod Productions. Plus, I must thanks all of friends and family who support what we do too. JPod Productions has always striven to be the Best Videographer in Boston and we will continue to push ourselves to become better each weekend and each year!

I have always said that the deepest field of quality vendors belongs to the category of photography. Last month we crossed paths with another one of those quality vendors in Cronin Hill Photography and they are September’s Vendor of the Month.

Cronin Hill Photography is built around the dynamic husband and wife team of Paula and Rick Labrecque. Even though they are based in Hatfield, Massachusetts, the Lebreques are commonly found traveling up I-91 covering Vermont Weddings. We met the pair at the Killington Resort in Killington, Vermont for the wedding of Amy and Justin. When the photographer and cinematographer work together as a team on the wedding day, great things happen for the bride and groom.  And, that is exactly what happened in Killington. After a brief mid-week conversation, Paula and I took five minutes at the start of the bride prep to talk about our plans, needs and desires for the day. It made everything throughout the day flow smoothly.

In addition to the communication factor, Paula and Rick brought creativity, organization and a genuine caring attitude to the table. The creative session brought out some great images as they let the couple be who they are around a covered bridge, their first meeting point, and several other shooting locations. Secondly, we were shooting at multiple locations with a decent sized bridal party and family, but the schedule never fell off track throughout the day. That’s organization at its best! Finally, as we do, you could tell that Cronin Hill was invested in their couple, as they knew their background, personality and desires for the day. I posted a one picture from the wedding day below.
