We met Clare and Jake through the internet, as they first emailed us just inside of 12 months before their wedding date. They were ahead of the magazing timelines, and those are the couples who always tend to book our services. (The early bird gets the worm). Clare and I had a great conversation on the phone and it was evident right away that these two were just a sweet couple.

Clare and Jake were married at the gorgeous French Chateau styled Glen Manor House, which sits seaside along the Sakonnet River in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. The ceremony site is a gorgeous one which overlooks the ocean bay waters. The ceremony was also special, because it took place under a chuppah that was built by the couple’s parents. Add to that, the grounds of the Glen Manor House are just beautifully landscaped with beautiful flowers and greenery and a great walking bridge for photos. Throughout the day, it was easy to see how connected these two were, as they both just had that look in their eyes.

We were fortunate to be paired with some great wedding professionals, as we shared the stage with Stacie Kirkwood Photography throughout the day. We were introduced to one of our new favorite bands in Honey Train, and we were fortunate to taste the exquisite cuisine from Blackstone Catering. Enjoy the Ketubah Signing to the traditional Jewish Ceremony to the Hora in this picture perfect wedding day in our latest Boston Wedding Film.

We met Katie’s Mom, Sue, through several local wedding professionals who date back to our earliest days of filming in the Western Massachusetts area. Katie and Pete Pasciucco were a Boston couple who was trekking back to Katie’s hometown in Northampton, Massachusetts to get married. We were blessed to have the opportunity to share in not only the wedding day, but in the rehearsal dinner as well for our latest Boston Wedding Film.

One of the biggest storylines of this wedding was the size of the wedding party. Fifteen bridesmaids and fifteen groomsmen joined 3 flower girls on this wedding weekend. Katie’s friends spanned from her sister as the maid-of-honor, to first cousins, to soccer friends who played by her side at Williston-Northampton, Boston College and Amherst College. The bond of friendship and family was very evident for both Katie and Pete. To add to the importance of family, Katie and Pete were married at Blessed Sacrament Church in Northampton, the same church Katie’s parents were married in 33 years earlier.

The reception took place at the scenic Log Cabin in Holyoke, which rests on the side of The Mt. Tom and overlooks the Western Mass. valley. We were blessed to work with Chris Degray of And the Beat Goes On DJ. Chris works with owner Dan Cavanaugh, who are both insanely talented at what they do and my favorite names to see on the wedding information sheet each wedding season. Crystal Vazquez & Co’s team did an amazing job getting 20+ girls ready for the wedding, on time, and looking gorgeous I might add. Our old television friend Kathy Bunnell of Bunnell Photography worked alongside us throughout the day seamlessly, and the flowers were designed by the same person who created my wedding day flowers in Heather Sullivan from Durocher Florist. This Boston wedding film takes you on a fantastic ride of sentimental moments and tremendous laughter, joy and positive energy. Enjoy the show…

In this week’s tip, Boston Wedding Group member Kelly Dolloff of Artistic Blossoms Floral Design Studio talks about the trust that you need to put into your floral designer. If you bring a color palette and a vision, great floral designers will do the rest. Special thanks to photographers Person + Killian, Zev Fisher, Snap Photo, Ashley O’Dell and Hinkley Photo for the images they supplied of Artistic Blossoms amazing work.
