Zach and Chris’ Boston wedding film was the third wedding overall and the second this year that we have filmed for the Renfro family. For Zach and Chris, opposites definitely attract in many ways. Zach is outgoing, while Chris is more reserved. Zach runs, Chris lifts weights. Zach is a doctor, Chris is a lawyer. But together, these two are an unstoppable force of love and dedication to one another.

Zach and Chris started their day with preparations at the Fairmont Copley, and their exchange of gifts was a cool way to begin the day. It was evident at this point what a great connection these two had with one another. A first look outside on Copley Square, right near the Fairmont Copley was a second sweet moment early in this wedding day. Next, the couple travelled the city by trolley for a photo session that brought us to many of their favorite locations. It was during this time, we got to meet their first child Ezra, who is a young, energetic yellow Labrador retriever. After a brilliant early night photo session on iconic Acorn Street, we headed to the Boston Public Library for a sophisticated ceremony and reception.

We were fortunate to be surrounded by an all-star team of wedding professionals including Jill Person from Person + Killian Photography, Eye 2 Eye of Wilson Stevens Productions, Winston Flowers, A Catered Affair and Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design. It was the second time we got to work with one of our former brides and wedding planner Kate Evans of Kate Evens Events. She kept the whole day running extremely smoothly, while Suzanne and the Catered Affair staff turned the library into a elegantly designed space. Enjoy our latest Boston Wedding Film from the city’s Back Bay.

Robyn and Joe had one of the most unique wedding days that we have ever filmed. With an October 17th wedding date, there was peak foliage on Haystack Mountain at the Hermitage Club in West Dover, Vermont. What we didn’t expect was the coating of snow that fell during the second half of the day. The result was our first Boston Wedding Film that saw a couple enjoy photographs on their wedding day in both peak foliage and in the snow.

Robyn and Joe were one of our latest bookings of the year, as they chose a short engagement and found us who somehow had the third weekend in October open (this never happens). The couple chose the ever-expanding Hermitage Club for their wedding venue, which is a great new open space, with a large Cabin-like feel in Southwestern Vermont. The couple chose to have a first look by the lake at the bottom of Haystack Mountain, and then moved back up the mountain for their ceremony and reception inside the Hermitage Club itself.

This Vermont wedding film has lots of great details, including a candle-lined aisle which led to a gorgeous chuppah decorated by Janet Boyd of Boyd Family Farm. Liz Ligon was great to work with on the photography side, and we always love working with the band Honey Train, who filled the dance floor for us for the second time this season.

On Monday evening, JPod Films was honored to win a New England VISTA award for the fourth consecutive year. The Boston wedding film Jen + Brandon was given the Gold Award in the ‘full wedding’ category. This was the highest honor JPod Films has received in the wedding film category. The category is one that best fits our most popular wedding film investment.

Each year, the New England Professional Videographer’s Association (NPVA) holds the awards in March to honor the best films in New England over the past year. Jen + Brandon’s wedding was filmed in the heart of Boston at the Museum of Science, with the preparations take place at the chic Ames Hotel on Court Street.  The intimate wedding included a duck boat ride for all of the guests and a tremendous photo session that ended the day instead of beginning it.

The NPVA offers a fabulous outlet for JPod Films to improve our craft with many of the other best professional cinematographers in New England. See Jen + Brandon’s full film below.

What do you get your wife for her 40th birthday? For Brendan O’Leary, the answer was simple. A family film featuring his two children served as the perfect surprise for his wife Trystan.

Brendan secretly took his two children out for an afternoon of fun including riding their bikes, playing sports, coloring, running around on the playground, and practicing the piano.  In the process, Madeline and Jake put together a list of the top ten reasons that their Mom is awesome! These two little O’Learys were one-take wonders too, as we did all but two of the top list items in one attempt. The following clip will take you through the middle of Madeline and Jake’s list as they had some fun in the process. The O’Leary’s will now have a Boston Family Film that will provide memories for decades to come…

I met Emily and Andrew Cleary through a family connection and after our first conversation, I knew that they were the perfect fit for our company. It was the first of two weddings that we had during a busy weekend just after Valentine’s Day, and it was another mild winter day in downtown Boston. It was just warm enough to sneak outside for a photo session with the rest of the events taking place inside the Four Seasons Boston.

Emily and Andrew were married in the elegantly decorated Governor’s Room at the Four Seasons, with Lotus Designs Flowers giving the room every beautiful touch imaginable from flower petals down the aisle runner, to a variety of candles romanticizing the room, to breathtaking floral arrangements near the front of the aisle. Officiant Elly Jackson did a wonderful job telling the story of Emily and Andrew, which was the backbone of the ceremony and the movie trailer below.

After the cocktail hour, guests moved into the Four Seasons Ballroom for the reception, which was even more spectacular with Susan B. Lowell Lighting Design illuminating the room perfectly. Greg Hodges of 5 Star Events DJ led the couple in with an energy-building introduction that even included a surprise from the father of the groom. Greg’s music created a fabulous atmosphere for the guests all night long. We were so blessed to work with even more tremendous vendors all day and night, as Philip Deschamps and the catering staff at the Four Seasons Boston were great. Lisa Rigby of Lisa Rigby Photography (pictures attached to link) was just a pleasure to work alongside, and the cake from Icing on the Cake was beautiful and delicious (yep, I had to try the red velvet tier at the end of the night). Helping Emily look her best were Lindsey B. of Jorgo Salon (Hair) and Dani Wagener (make-up), while her dress was a design from Kenneth Pool.

JPod Productions was awarded the bronze award in the “Wedding” category of the VISTA awards of New England on February 28, 2012 in Dedham, MA.  JPod Productions was the only Massachusetts company west of Worcester to win an award at the regional competition. JPod Productions’ wedding film “Jennifer & Jason” was deemed the 3rd best wedding video by cinematographer companies in New England.

The “Jennifer and Jason” feature film was a 22-minute video that told the story of Jennifer (Felix) and Jason Pease’s wedding day in June of 2011 in Ludlow, MA. The wedding took place at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Ludlow with the reception in the same town at the Lusitano Club. The VISTA awards are a New England-based competition run by the National Professional Videographer’s Association of New England (NPVA/NE). Awards are presented in four categories including “Wedding”, “Wedding Highlight”, “Corporate”, and “Other”. The “Wedding” category is comprised of longer videos that creatively document a couple’s complete wedding day.
