In week three of our four-part series highlighting the four wedding photographers that have their images featured on our JPod Films website, we are featuring a couple who has supported us tremendously from day one. Dave and Eileen Breveglerei of Breveglerei Photography were the first photographers to really start referring our Boston wedding films. We will never forget where we came from…

Dave and Eileen are the perfect husband and wife team, as Dave is the technical guru who I can geek out with over cameras and road cycling. Eileen brings a punch of personality, as she is so much fun to be around. With that said, she can still round up and reign in the rowdiest of wedding parties as good as anyone.

When we work with Dave and Eileen, we always seem to fuel each other’s creative juices. One great idea will lead to another during the couple’s photo session. We always like to try and outdo each other’s ring shots too. It’s that kind of fun competitiveness that benefits the couple in the end. Check out some of their work below and visit their website HERE.

Our latest Boston Wedding Film actually comes from the ocean shores of Connecticut. Erica and Kevin chose to take advantage of a weekend holiday as they were married on the Fourth of July. We definitely didn’t mind giving up the holiday, as Erica’s Mom is friend of our family. Most of the wedding party and their friends live around us, so there were a lot of familiar faces in attendance for this holiday wedding.

Erica and Kevin, who hail from Massachusetts, are a couple who likes to be around the water. Therefore, Amarante’s Sea Cliff in New Haven was a great choice for their ceremony and reception. The day featured a first look that was threatened by rain, only to see the day get brighter and hotter by the minute. There were plenty of cool details including acoustic music in the ceremony and during dinner, sparklers, town fireworks, a speech aided by a photo montage from Erica’s Dad, and a sweet candy bar. Erica and Kevin’s sweetness really came through, as they each broke down during a card and gift exchange during the preparations.

We go to work a lot of long time friends from the wedding industry including Dave and Eileen Breveglerei of Breveglerei Photography, and DJ and Singer Gary S Jones. Familiar faces always make the day such a pleasure. This Connecticut Shore wedding film starts off with a great story with a funny twist from Erica’s brother Nick. Enjoy the show…

We met Annoula and Mike through a vendor referral and we hit it off right away. Although she grew up in Massachusetts, Annoula was planning the wedding from her current home in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. We met whenever she was home and by the time our final meeting came along, we had built a great client-vendor relationship.

Annoula stayed close to her roots getting married at the Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in the North End of Springfield. The wedding resembled one held in Boston with the bride’s style, a downtown photo shoot and large reception venue. Annoula and Mike hired a band for some traditional Greek dancing during the reception which added great energy to the reception. Another plus to the day was that we got to work with great vendors including Dave and Eileen from Breveglerei Photography, Dan Cavanaugh from And the Beat Goes On DJ, and Samantha from the Springfield Sheraton. Music from the trailer was licensed through The Music Bed.

Other vendors:
Flowers: Flower Stop
Cake: Sweet B Cakery

I love what I do. So, I am always looking to help out my couples within the wedding planning process. As vendors, we have been through the wedding day so many times and we have seen a lot of different things, good and bad. I recently stumbled on some video of a conference I participated in a few years ago and my friend and colleague Eileen Breveglerei of Breveglerei Photography gave probably the most valuable advice to brides in attendance that I could ever offer.

It is so true! The best films are the ones where the bride and her bridesmaids are ahead of schedule, relaxed and having fun. Do yourself a favor and schedule your hair appointments at least one hour earlier than you originally planned. You will not regret it!
