Paige and Eric were married on a beautiful August day last summer at the scenic Wianno Club along the ocean waters of Osterville, Massachusetts. It was a simple, classic Cape Cod wedding with a natural feel including a color palette filled with greens and whites. Paige got ready at the family’s nearby home and traveled over to the Wianno Club in a vintage car with her Dad. From there, the rest of the wedding day unfolded in and around the beautiful “shingle-styled” building along the Atlantic Ocean.

The beautiful grounds of the Wianno Club played backdrop to the couple’s first look and a photo session that included the couple venturing onto a gorgeous rock formation overlooking the ocean. After a pre-ceremony cocktail reception with sparkling champagne, the couple exchanged vows in front of the ocean as the sun came out to warm up the event. During the cocktail hour, Paige and her parents arranged a surprise for Eric as a plane flew by with a banner that read “Paige and Eric: Shipmates Forever”. The decor of the event included an array of hydrangeas that made the wedding day so elegant from beginning to end. The wonderful speeches revolved around the great character of these two as their paths crossed on the campus of Cornell University.

We were fortunate to work alongside Lisa Rigby of Lisa Rigby Photography. The wedding was planned by Elegant Engagements of Cape Cod. This was a blessing as the on-site vendor team of Megan, Erica, and Sara from Elegant Engagements were on top of every detail and made the whole day run so smoothly. Enjoy this quintessential Cape Cop wedding film…

We were fortunate enough to have Boston Voyager magazine reach out to us and offer an interview with JPod Films owner Jamie Podworski. It is always a great opportunity to put a face and a personality to our Boston wedding films. We love what we do, and the magazine gave us a great opportunity to tell our story of how things began and what makes us different as a wedding filmmaking company. To read the whole article, click HERE.

But, why stop there? I thought this would be a good opportunity to shed a little more insight on who we are and what makes us tick. Here are five more questions/facts about owner Jamie Podworski.

  1. What is your favorite part of the wedding day? I really have fell in love with the Father of the Bride toast over the years. As a father of three girls, I know that this is something that is coming in my future. I think each father gives great perspective into raising a daughter and the important things that have made them who they are today. So often, Fathers of the Bride also provide great insight to what a great marriage/relationship is made of, and I take great stock in that.

  2. COFFEE! I am a huge coffee lover. My local coffee shop is often my first stop as I hit the road each weekend.
  3. I am definitely an active person. I have run two marathons and completed a half-ironman triathlon. I have always been a runner, but I love to cycle and get in some boot camp classes early in the morning as well. Add to that, I still try to skate with the youngsters, as I play hockey in a fairly competitive over-18 hockey league one night a week. Don’t worry…Your long wedding day will not tire me out.Ice Hockey Wedding Filmmaker
  4. Dogs. I am definitely a dog lover for sure. So, my couples who find a way to incorporate their own four-legged friends get bonus points. I currently own a 7-year old chocolate lab named Charm. She is my editing buddy for sure.
  5.  Wedding Dog
  6. What’s the one thing that people are most surprised about when it comes to wedding filmmaking? The post-production process. A lot of people do not realize that everything from backing up footage to editing to proofing all of the edits can be a 40-60 hour process. An additional piece of this process is the selection of music. I spend hours some nights trying to find the right song(s) for each couple. Having the right feel makes a huge difference in the edit.

Jenny and Dave Krupski are simply put, a JPod Films couple! They are definitely the first couple I can honestly say that found us through Yelp. Jenny had binge-watched a bunch of our films, so she reached out and we set-up a Skype meeting. Our meeting was an instant match, as Jenny and Dave were one of our first 2016 couples to book a Boston Wedding Film.

It all started in the location where Jenny vacationed for most of her life, the town of Osterville on Cape Cod. The bride prep took place in Jenny’s parents Cape Cod home, which they had bought a few years earlier in the same neighborhood that the family vacationed for years and years. Dave got ready in a house two blocks away with their dog Skylar, which set up a great first look right down the street at a local scenic bridge. The sweetness and excitement of these two seeing each other for the first time was definitely one of the highlights of the day.

The weather was picture perfect from the bride prep through sunset at the Oysters Harbors Club, which is where the ceremony and reception took place. The outdoor ceremony, overlooking the water, was highlighted by a well thought out ceremony including advice from Jenny and Dave’s parents, a perfectly read version of “How Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog”, and personally written vows. David’s vows were excellent, but how well he delivered them, made them arguably the best we’ve seen in ten years of filming weddings. They were so good, that we used them as the backbone for the couple’s wedding trailer film late last year. The great energy continued through the day with lots of great details including the Ducky Rose cocktail, a map of Cape Cod Picture Sign-in and the Panda Head appearance which turned the dance floor upside down. Enjoy our latest Boston Wedding Film with love and excitement that is hard to match.

There are certain couples that just have it! I can’t completely define “it”, but Jenny and Dave have it. It’s a look, an energy, a smile that just makes you feel good. And, I know it inspires me. It also makes it easy to create awesome Boston wedding films.

Jenny + Dave met through friends, but it took a few meetings before these two officially started dating. We met Jenny and Dave way back in 2015, and we just connected with them immediately. It felt like we had known them for years after just 10 minutes of talking. We became social media friends, even following their dog Skylar’s Instagram page (if you didn’t know, we love dogs).  Their Cape Cod wedding was one that we had circled on our calendar all year long.

We started the day just a stone’s throw from the water at Jenny’s parents Cape Cod vacation home, while Dave and his boys got ready at a second house just a few blocks inland. The wedding and reception took place at the Oyster Harbors Club in Osterville, MA. There is nothing like a perfect day weather-wise when you can spend it along the water. We got to work with one of our favorite photographers in Randall Garnick, as we mesh so well with his relaxed personality and dry sense of humor

It’s great when a groom writes awesome vows like Dave did, but it is even more amazing when he delivers them with an unmatched love and passion for his bride. That was the one part of the day that stood out to me the most in a wedding with so, so many great moments. So, for their wedding trailer film, we focused on the passion, the love and the delivery of Dave’s words. Enjoy our latest Boston wedding film which was given as a surprise gift from Dave to Jenny on Christmas Eve. (Photo Credit – Randall Garnick Photography).

Katie and Viral were referred to us from some friends of ours in the industry. They seemed like a shy and sweet couple when we first met them. And, they can be. But, what we didn’t expect in the beginning was the dancing ability and energy of these two. Their energy never wavered throughout a two ceremony wedding day, which meant two preps, two first looks, two photo sessions and one rocking reception.

Viral’s brother said about Katie, “You are the one person that I know that can out dance Viral”. And, she delivered on that statement. We always say that the bride and groom drive the dance floor. Well, this dance floor had a traffic jam all night. It didn’t hurt having DJ Krupz from Boston Sound and Light cranking the tunes and firing up the crowd all night either.

The day began at the Courtyard Marriott on Tremont Street for the first of two bride and groom preparations. The first ceremony, a Catholic Mass, took place at St. Mary Assumption in Brookline. From there, the festivities headed across town to the Larz Anderson Auto Museum for a change of wardrobe for the Hindu ceremony, a photo session, a baraat, a Hindu ceremony and a tented reception. One of the cool elements of the day was a painting that Viral gave Katie during the morning preparations which featured the The Temple of Love structure featured at Larz Anderson park. Pictured in the Video thumbnail, the structure was modeled after the Temple of Love at Versailles. The couple took pictures there later in the day.

In addition to Boston Sound and Light, we got to work with the awesome Linda Lee from the Lemon Drop Team, Dogwood Floral and Nir Landau of Nir Landau Photography. Nir’s energy throughout the day was definitely contagious as well. Enjoy our latest wedding Boston Wedding Film which is definitely one of our favorites from 2016!

At JPod Productions, we’ve had the opportunity to team up with several of Massachusetts’ top vendors on a variety of projects recently. One of those projects had us filming some testimonials for Dani Fine Photography of Northampton. Dani’s studio is considered one of the top studios in the western part of the state (Western Mass.) and that has her photography teams shooting at many of the top venues in Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Northampton wedding Photographer Testimonial

We’ve had the opportunity to work with Dani and her staff on multiple projects now and they definitely provide their clients with top notch images. Whether it’s wedding photography, corporate head shots, or baby bump and family photography, Dani’s team has the ability to photograph it all. The Dani Fine Staff has also been a large proponent of boudoir photography, which has been one of the most popular gifts for brides to give their husband-to-be on the wedding day. I could write all day, but the better way to find out what Dani Fine Photography is all about is to watch their testimonial video…
