We are excited to release JPod Productions’ first “Short Film”, our newest investment. As we met with prospective couples over the past six months, we found a common thread in that couples were looking for a Boston wedding film that was longer than our Highlight Film, but shorter than our Feature Film. We listened to what our couples were looking for and added the “Short Film” to our collection of investments. Jen and Brandon’s wedding provided the perfect landscape to create our first short film, as it was set to be an intimate affair with only 20 guests in attendance. In the end, the small guest list helped make a film with a plethora of personality.

We first met Brandon and Jen on a snowy Saturday morning in the North End of Boston. We had an instant connection, as we talked about how these two met and ended up together in Boston, as well as the still emerging wedding plans. Once we got to the wedding day, it just felt like the whole day epitomized what these two were all about. We started the day with a Yoga session at the Ames Hotel, before heading upstairs for bride and groom preparations. The preparations were filled with personal moments of card writing, gift exchanges, and even a visit from Erva, who helped get Jen into her dress. The day continued on with a ceremony where Jen and Brandon exchanged the most beautiful vows, a vegan luncheon at the beautiful skyline room at the Boston Museum of Science, a Duck Tour for all of the guests, and finally, a photo session in and around the Boston Public Gardens.

We were so fortunate to work with fabulous vendors including Emily and Lexi from Emily Tebbetts Photography, Gregory Costa-St. John from Flou(-e)r, and Sheryl from the Museum of Science. It was an amazing day!

At a recent wedding at the Four Seasons in Boston, I worked alongside my vendor of the month, who is also one of the top makeup artists in the city. Although you would never know it from her down to earth personality, Dani Wagener is making a significant impact on women all over the world through her talent. And, now brides in Boston are reaping the benefits.

The goal of any bride is to look her absolute best on her wedding day and Dani can provide that for Massachusetts and New England-based brides. What makes her different? Her mastery of airbrush makeup, skincare, and false eyelashes is what separates her from others. In February, I watched Dani take our beautiful bride Emily and make her look simply stunning. The thing I love about Dani is that she believes in not only making women beautiful, but also giving them the knowledge and know-how so they can make themselves beautiful. This “effect and empowerment” philosophy was what makes Dani unique.
