This wedding season has been a whirlwind for sure, but the silver lining in it all is that we have been filming the sweetest intimate weddings during this pandemic. Julie and Jeremy were one of those weddings as they chose to still get married in 2020 even though they postponed their larger event at the Boston Harbor Hotel to 2021. After looking around at a couple of potential venues, friends of Julie and Jeremy offered their Sudbury home as the backdrop for their micro wedding.

And, what a venue it was! The ceremony space was set-up with a beautiful walkway through a section of trees that led to a shaded space in the yard where a hydrangea-decorated Chuppah awaited the couple. The reception, which included the first dance, a father-daughter dance, and several speeches, took place in a perfectly-decorated, rustic barn on the property which was open on both sides with just enough room to social distance all of the guests. There were also so many cute spots and beautiful landscaping in and around the property for our photo session with Jill Person Photography.

So, people keep asking us, what does a micro-wedding look like? Julie and Jeremy did a great job following the guidelines throughout the wedding day. Masks were worn throughout the day, even throughout the outdoor ceremony with the exception of the processional and recessional for the couple themselves. The highlight of the day could have been Julie’s father’s mask which was designed to look like a tux with a little bow tie on top. You can see it HERE in an Instagram post that we shared recently. With an outdoor reception and proper spacing, the guests took off their masks for the reception. The couple had food catered by a local restaurant that gave each table of 2-3 people their own “box” of food. Enjoy our latest Boston wedding film…

As Boston wedding videographers, one of the major reasons we enjoy filming wedding is that we get to meet and become friends with so many great families along the way. We love to watch their families evolve and grow through multiple family weddings and then the babies and children that follow. For JPod Productions, family is a key element to what we do.

On July 4th, as we take a break from our hectic wedding schedule, I thought it would be the appropriate time to share our family. Recently, we hired Massachusetts and Cape Cod Photographer Sarah Gallagher Studios to photograph a moment in time in our family’s life. As much as I have taken and will continue to take hundreds of photographs of our family, it was time to put the camera down and turn to a professional for a day. The greatest thing about the experience was becoming the client once again.  It was a humbling experience to feel the joy and satisfaction of capturing a moment in my family’s life as we perused through the dozens of pictures we received. The investment was priceless. It definitely has reinforced why we take so much pride in creating great family and wedding films for our families. So, on this holiday, I share our family because this is what life is all about! And, I think there maybe even a budding Boston wedding videographer in the bunch.
