One of our favorite type of weddings to cover are ones with ties to the military. There is something about the brotherhood and sisterhood within the military that makes their weddings unique. There is just a special bond between friends and family from the military that is hard to duplicate. Dave and Colleen’s wedding had that bond. It was the bride, her brother and the maid of honor who all shared this Marine bond. This Boston wedding film is one about family.
Colleen and Dave’s wedding was a special on for us at JPod Films, as we have known the bride and groom for quite some time. We actually vacation in neighboring cottages during the same week each summer on the Cape. These weddings become a little bit more pressure-filled for us, but in a good way. They always seem to spawn our creative juices.
The wedding took place around the Worcester area, as Colleen and Dave had an afternoon ceremony at the First Congregational Church in West Boylston, MA. The reception moved guests into the majestic Mechanics Hall in Worcester. As one of the grandest of venues, the possibilities are endless when filming in this theater-styled venue. A second part of this wedding that stood out was the food. For dinner, the couple chose to have Russell Morin Catering pass continuous hoerderves with a few food stations around the outskirts of the reception area. The food amazing and some of the best we experienced all season, and it seemed like the dinner was being served for the whole night.
