David and Clint found us online as they looked to plan an intimate fall wedding in the Public Gardens in the heart of Boston. It’s not often that we help plan the event, but photographer Darlene Devita (credit to her for the picture above) and I guided the couple and their four guests in making appropriate decisions on the date and time. Together, we all chose to go for a golden light ceremony during the mid-week, as we knew that the park would be much more crowded on a weekend day. After a late September, Thursday wedding date had to be rescheduled, we ended up with a Tuesday evening ceremony in the middle of October on picture-perfect fall day.

The amazing part about this evening was that it didn’t feel like an intimate, six person wedding. One of the reasons for that was that an impromptu group of Bostonians slowly gathered throughout the ceremony to create a slightly larger audience. The bigger reason that the wedding didn’t feel quite so intimate was because David and Clint included so many people from their lives within their ceremony. Within their ceremony, there were readings and poems from over a dozen people that were not able to attend the wedding in person, but were important to the couple. Some were funny, some were sweet, but what really came out was the personality of each individual and why they were great as a couple.

What I love about this wedding is that great things come out of tough situations. It is obviously that COVID and the pandemic has made life tough on people in so many ways. But, this wedding felt like one of those silver linings. It made the best of a situation in the most personal and romantic way. I hope you enjoy this Boston wedding film as much as we enjoyed sharing in David and Clint’s intimate wedding day.
