As much as we love our Boston wedding films, one of my other favorite places to film a wedding is in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts. When traveling out west, we always seem to cross paths with the greatest couples from New York City. Katie and Dave were no exception. Their sophisticated wedding took place at the Wheatleigh, a 22-acre romantic hotel nestled in the wedding-rich town of Lenox. This wedding didn’t just capture our eyes, as it was also featured recently on the Style Me Pretty blog.

Katie and Dave’s love story started at work, as the two worked together in a small group within a bank in New York City. What was charming about their story was the fact they tried to hide their early dating ways only to find out later that everyone knew what was going on the whole time. After a romantic proposal in Paris, Katie and Dave ventured a couple hours outside the city to declare their vows at the majestic and Florentine-inspired Wheatleigh Grand Hotel in Lenox. As Katie described it, their guests were transported to an Italian villa, with less travel time and the comforts of home. This Berkshire wedding film carries a travel theme, but what stood out the most were the floral accents put together by wedding planner Leslie Price of In Any Event Planning, Production and Design and Sayles Livingston Flowers that cascaded from the ceremony backdrop to the elegant tented reception on the back lawn of the Wheatleigh.

We crossed paths with some new wedding professionals as photographer Heather Waraksa was a pleasure to work with and I must give her credit for selecting the balcony for the bride’s final stages of getting ready. The extra natural light took Katie in her Michelle Lhuiller dress from gorgeous to breathtaking just by taking few short steps onto that balcony. The Hal Prince Band kept everyone rocking on the dance floor all night long, which always makes our job so much easier. Nothing ends a wedding film better than a fire pit with smores and a sparkler exit. Enjoy our latest Boston wedding film from the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.

We met Allyson and Jacob through a bridesmaid who was in Lauren and Jay’s Boston Wedding Video, which you can also see on our blog just below. Allyson is the daughter of former Washington Redskin’s Linebacker Pete Cronan, who has been the color commentator for Boston College Football since 1988. The wedding day was one that saw the rain come and go, but a break in the clouds allowed us to get outside for a short photo session before the skies opened up again. Mr. & Mrs. Jacob Shields were married at St. Jude Catholic Parish in Watertown, Massachusetts with a tented reception right up the road at Gore Place.

One of the reason’s I chose to post this wedding clip was because of the personal touches that Allyson put into three separate gifts for two aunts and her Mom. The three gifts are the backbone of the first part of the wedding film and they really set the tone for the wedding day. The personal touches are what makes the personality of this film different from many of the other ones we have edited in recent months. The film also opens up with a part of the speech given by the Father-of-the-Bride, Pete Cronan. I am a strong proponent of a welcome speech from the father-of the-bride, as the fathers always seem to speak from the heart and this day was no different. Other great vendors we worked with were the awesome Boston band Men in Black, Alicia Schneider Photography, and one of my favorite Boston caterers, the Catered Affair. Enjoy the first few minutes of this Boston wedding video…
