Tag Archives: Western Mass wedding video

We met Katie’s Mom, Sue, through several local wedding professionals who date back to our earliest days of filming in the Western Massachusetts area. Katie and Pete Pasciucco were a Boston couple who was trekking back to Katie’s hometown in Northampton, Massachusetts to get married. We were blessed to have the opportunity to share in not only the wedding day, but in the rehearsal dinner as well for our latest Boston Wedding Film.

One of the biggest storylines of this wedding was the size of the wedding party. Fifteen bridesmaids and fifteen groomsmen joined 3 flower girls on this wedding weekend. Katie’s friends spanned from her sister as the maid-of-honor, to first cousins, to soccer friends who played by her side at Williston-Northampton, Boston College and Amherst College. The bond of friendship and family was very evident for both Katie and Pete. To add to the importance of family, Katie and Pete were married at Blessed Sacrament Church in Northampton, the same church Katie’s parents were married in 33 years earlier.

The reception took place at the scenic Log Cabin in Holyoke, which rests on the side of The Mt. Tom and overlooks the Western Mass. valley. We were blessed to work with Chris Degray of And the Beat Goes On DJ. Chris works with owner Dan Cavanaugh, who are both insanely talented at what they do and my favorite names to see on the wedding information sheet each wedding season. Crystal Vazquez & Co’s team did an amazing job getting 20+ girls ready for the wedding, on time, and looking gorgeous I might add. Our old television friend Kathy Bunnell of Bunnell Photography worked alongside us throughout the day seamlessly, and the flowers were designed by the same person who created my wedding day flowers in Heather Sullivan from Durocher Florist. This Boston wedding film takes you on a fantastic ride of sentimental moments and tremendous laughter, joy and positive energy. Enjoy the show…

As Boston wedding videographers, one of the major reasons we enjoy filming wedding is that we get to meet and become friends with so many great families along the way. We love to watch their families evolve and grow through multiple family weddings and then the babies and children that follow. For JPod Productions, family is a key element to what we do.

On July 4th, as we take a break from our hectic wedding schedule, I thought it would be the appropriate time to share our family. Recently, we hired Massachusetts and Cape Cod Photographer Sarah Gallagher Studios to photograph a moment in time in our family’s life. As much as I have taken and will continue to take hundreds of photographs of our family, it was time to put the camera down and turn to a professional for a day. The greatest thing about the experience was becoming the client once again.  It was a humbling experience to feel the joy and satisfaction of capturing a moment in my family’s life as we perused through the dozens of pictures we received. The investment was priceless. It definitely has reinforced why we take so much pride in creating great family and wedding films for our families. So, on this holiday, I share our family because this is what life is all about! And, I think there maybe even a budding Boston wedding videographer in the bunch.

How is love like a Big Mac? Well, John Fleming answered that question when his daughter, Stephanie, married Mike Montessi. The back story is that John was trying to relate to his daughter when she was a teenager about breaking up with a boyfriend. That’s where the Bic Mac story started and the wedding day is where it ends. Most of John’s speech ended up in the first 10 minutes of the feature film, but the punchline came in the final minutes of the cinematic wedding film. Therefore, this blog post has two clips – the first 10 minutes of a wedding film, and a clip that helped close out the film.

What can I stay about Stephanie and Mike? Simply put, I love them! They are the ideal JPod Productions couple as they came with California style back to their hometown of Agawam, Massachusetts. This is the longest clip we have posted on our blog from one wedding film. It takes you from the Bellucci Salon & Day Spa to the Springfield Sheraton, and continues on to Stephanie’s parents’ house for the final bridal preparations before finishing with the processional of the ceremony. The feature film wedding clip really shows how the personalities of the couple and their families are captured within the final feature film.

Stephanie and Mike, who now call Los Angeles home, were married at Hope Community Church with the reception at nearby Oak Ridge Golf Club. We teamed with Schaler Photography for the second time this wedding season and CJC Event Lighting did a wonderful job uplighting the reception venue. I also must thank Stephanie, as she was one of our top cheerleaders in the recent Best Videographer of Boston contest that we just participated in.
